Join media arts practitioners, administrators, Teaching Artists, and youth from across New York state for a day of learning, connection, and resource-sharing across the media arts education field. Explore how to be ‘media literate’ in this age of technology and information overload through hands-on experiences, workshops, and discussions.
Please join the Paul Meek Library at the University of Tennessee at Martin to celebrate Media Literacy Week with a special film screening of “Theaters of War: How the Pentagon and the CIA took Hollywood.” The film looks at the influence of the US military on and behind the screen and will be following by a discussion time.
The film will be shown in Room 118 (Media Center) of the library on Tuesday, October 24 at 4 p.m.

Women Make Movies and the Media Education Foundation are partnering to bring you a selection of films that take a critical look at media images, messages, and the corporate systems that produce them.
