U.S. Media Literacy Week occurs annually during Global Media and Information Literacy Week, which is hosted by UNESCO. The goal is to work together to grow Media Literacy Week into a robust global initiative. NAMLE welcomes events scheduled during or in the weeks surrounding U.S. Media Literacy Week. Whether your activity happens just before, during, or shortly after the official week, you’re invited to share it with us to be featured on our national calendar.

Just like U.S. Media Literacy Week, Global MIL Week calls for events to promote MIL connections across disciplines and professions. Each year, we show our support and alignment with global activities by asking all U.S. Media Literacy Week educators and organizers to register their event on the Global MIL website.

Join hundreds of organizations, educators, and individuals across the globe showcased on UNESCO’s Global MIL Week map. Help us grow this effort to celebrate the work of media literacy around the world.
