Who is a Media Literacy Week Supporter?
A Supporter could be a concerned citizen, a parent, teacher, librarian, a student or other youth and their friends, a grandparent or senior citizen, legislators… it could be you! A Supporter can be anyone who is interested in helping to support media literacy education!
What does a Media Literacy Week Supporter do?
As a Supporter, you can support the work of media literacy by liking/sharing information about Media Literacy Week on social media, you can attend an event, or you can contact your local/state/national legislators to show your support for media literacy education!

Educator
Who is a Media Literacy Week Educator?
An Educator could be an individual teacher, educator, administrator, or librarian that wants to highlight or incorporate media literacy into their classroom or school during Media Literacy Week. An educator can come from any grade level: Pre-K, elementary education, middle school, high school, higher education, libraries, administrators, and even youth groups! Anyone who is teaching others media literacy in both traditional and non-traditional learning environments can sign up as an Educator.
What does a Media Literacy Week Educator do?
As an Educator, you can incorporate a media literacy lesson in your classroom or on campus. You can hold a workshop for students or your fellow educators about media literacy or you can hold a discussion with your school’s faculty and administration about the importance of media literacy education.

An Organizer can be any individual, organization, or community group who organizes an event related to media literacy during Media Literacy Week.
What is a Media Literacy Week Organizer?
As an Organizer, you can hold an event, plan a webinar, or even show a film about media literacy for your community or members!
Why should I sign up as an Organizer?
If you are interested in getting ideas, access to films, and other resources to help plan a media literacy event, then you should sign up as an Organizer! And if you want people to sign up or attend your event, then we can share out the details on social media, include in our email newsletter, and add it to UNESCO’s Global Media and Information Literacy Week website.

A Creator could be any individual, organization, or community group who plans to create something related to media literacy and share it with the world during Media Literacy Week.
