DESCRIPTION:The National Association for Media Literacy Education (NAMLE) will host the kickoff event for the 8th annual U.S. Media Literacy Week at Twitter’s NYC headquarters for an important discussion about the future of news and journalism with New York City area students. This live event will feature a panel discussion with PBS NewsHour’s Hari Sreenivasan and breakout sessions with NAMLE and Twitter employees to explore how youth envision what comes next for news and journalism. Discussion will explore topics such as freedom of speech\, equity\, inclusion\, and content creation. Bring your students so they can share their voice and help envision their future.  \nThis event is not open to the public.
