Event Description:
Earlier this year, State Rep. Lisa Hernandez (D-IL) introduced HB5096, a bill calling for K-12 media literacy education in schools throughout the state of Illinois. As the bill gains momentum, we host an open discussion about the role media plays in our lives with students, teachers, and parents. Highlighting media literacy as an essential life skill and a critical component of a healthy democracy.
