World Premiere: Liberty Boys of 1776

Media Education Lab is delighted to invite you to a livestream event for The Liberty Boys of 1776. Join them as they celebrate the series’ release and America’s 250th anniversary in a special virtual gathering.

Synopsis: The Liberty Boys of 1776 is an immersive, full-cast audio drama, set during the American Revolutionary War, created in honor of the 250th anniversary of the United States. When his father is killed for supporting independence, young Dan Slater is thrust into the heart of the revolution. Determined to carry on his father’s legacy, he joins General George Washington’s forces in the fight against the British Crown. Through disguises, espionage, and open combat, Dan risks everything in daring missions behind enemy lines and in battles that test loyalty, courage, and friendship. Blending epic history with intimate human drama, the series reimagines the birth of America as a modern myth: not only the story of a nation being forged, but a powerful tale of courage, love, and a hard-won dream. Produced in collaboration with Columbia College Chicago and the Media Education Lab.

During the event, hear from the creators, cast, project partners, and PR teams, followed by the premiere listening event for the first episode. They are excited to share the result of this wonderful creative journey with you and to celebrate this important milestone together.

Please note that this is an open event – you are warmly welcome to invite friends, family, colleagues, and anyone else who would enjoy discovering the series.
